EQUINE & CANINE MASSAGE THERAPY
DIXIE JEKINSJAN R.E.M.T.

Massage Therapy Program
Massage therapy can benefit your animals
in many ways. It can help reduce physiological fatigue and aid in recovery from
the exertion of competitive training. This enables longer more efficient
workouts, thus facilitating enhanced performance and injury prevention. In cases
of injury or surgery, massage can assist the body to develop, maintain,
rehabilitate or augment physical function, relieve pain and inflammation and
increase circulation, range of motion and relaxation. Massage can also help calm
a nervous animal.
Massage Therapy and
Hydrotherapy Program
Massage therapy and hydrotherapy
compliment each other very well. While hydrotherapy allows the animal to receive
the full benefit of exercise without extra strain on the joints, massage therapy
can help to decrease recovery time, stretch out the muscles as they are rebuilt
and address other problems in the body that develop when an animal is
compensating for pain or injury in the body structure.
*All
therapy programs are done in co-operation with
the therapist and the animal’s
veterinarian*
Home Care
All massage therapy and hydrotherapy
programs include rehabilitative exercises, stretches and hydrotherapy that are
done at the end of a session and include instructions for these exercises to be
done at home in between sessions.

*Massage
and Hydrotherapy are beneficial to your animal as a complimentary therapy, but
is not a substitute for veterinary care. Please consult you veterinarian first
if your animal is suffering from injury or illness.*
